Affordable Las Vegas Wedding Packages

Affordable Las Vegas Wedding Packages

We offer very affordable options for your Las Vegas Wedding. You don’t have to do a cheesy chapel wedding to stay within budget! ALL of our affordable Las Vegas Wedding packages include: Wedding Officiant, professional photographer, ALL photos taken on DVD with all photo rights given to you. Our Garden Gazebo, Chapel, Las Vegas Strip, and Lakeside wedding packages start at $299. You can do a Valley of Fire, Lake Mead, or Nelson Ghost Town wedding with us for $599.

When you book an affordable Las Vegas Wedding package, you need to be careful about what you have actually purchased when you book your seemingly “affordable” Las Vegas Wedding Package. Are the minister fees included? How many photos do you get? Do you get photo rights? Have you seen YOUR photographer’s portfolio? Are there chapel fees? If permits are required, are they included?

We recently did a little research on the other wedding companies in town and we found that some Las Vegas Wedding chapels advertise wedding packages starting at between $199 and $299, but they only include between 4-12 photos and then you are allowed to purchase additional photos (but no prices were listed).

For affordable Valley of Fire Weddings, we found that you could get a package with another company for $997 and it would only include photos taken during the actual ceremony. At another company, for $1200, you are given 12 photos.

When your wedding day is over, you only have your photos (and video if you have video) to remember your Valley of Fire Wedding and do you really only want 12 photos? And not even on CD or DVD! We want all of our couples to have as many great photos as we can possibly take for you.

To be fair, some of these packages at other Las Vegas wedding companies did include limousine transportation and/or flowers. We have a limousine that we can offer to our couples at a very affordable price, but we keep our package prices lower, so you can decide what type of transportation you want. You may want to have executive security , to rent a limo party bus, an exotic car, a rental car, or you may have driven to Las Vegas in your own car. We also work with one of the best and most reasonable florists in town, so you can get exactly what you want for your Las Vegas Wedding day.

Valley of Fire Sunset Weddings

  • By admin

Valley of Fire Sunset Weddings

Valley of Fire sunset weddings are our most requested Valley of Fire wedding packages. Valley of Fire offers beautiful and romantic sunsets nearly every day of the year. You will arrive at your Valley of Fire wedding approximately 1-1 ½ hours prior to actual sunset (depending on which wedding package was booked). You will have plenty of time for daytime Valley of Fire wedding photography in addition to your Valley of Fire sunset shots.

Reasons to Choose Valley of Fire Sunset Weddings

In photography, there are two different times of day that are considered to provide the best lighting, and they are the first hour of sunlight during the day and the last hour of sunlight in the afternoon. Photographers often refer to these two periods of time as the golden hour (sometimes also known as the magic hour). Typically, lighting is softer (more diffuse) and warmer in hue, and shadows are longer.

In the middle of the day, the bright overhead sun can create too-bright highlights and dark shadows. The degree to which overexposure can occur varies because different types of film and digital cameras have different dynamic ranges. This harsh-lighting problem is particularly important in wedding photography, where a fill flash is often necessary to balance lighting across the subject’s face or body, filling in strong shadows that are usually considered undesirable. Because the contrast is less during the golden hour, shadows are less dark, and highlights are less likely to be overexposed. In landscape photography or in outdoor scenic wedding photography, the warm color of the low sun is often considered desirable to enhance the colors of the scene.

You also will not be squinting in your wedding photos, your guests will not be in the blazing sun, and we can often get you very nice silhouette shots as well.

Reasons to Choose Valley of Fire Sunset Weddings with Scenic Las Vegas Weddings

Most photographers, unfortunately, cannot take proper exposures for sunset time. It requires a true professional to be able to properly light a wedding couple and still have a beautiful sunset background. Scenic Las Vegas has two professional Las Vegas Wedding photographers who are very experienced in Las Vegas sunset and Valley of Fire sunset wedding photography. If your Valley of Fire wedding photos are very important to you, you should not book your Valley of Fire sunset wedding with a company that either will not tell you who your photographer will be or only has a few decent Valley of Fire sunset shots on their website.

Valley of Fire Weddings

Valley of Fire History

Valley of Fire is Nevada’s oldest state park and was dedicated in 1935. It is located approximately 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas in the Mojave Desert. It is adjacent to Lake Mead National Recreation Area and varies in elevation from 2,000 to 2,600 feet.

The park, which covers an area of almost 36,000 acres, gets its name from its fiery red sandstone. The formations are the result of fossilized sandstone and sand dunes that formed more than 150 million years ago. The area offers some of the Southwest’s most amazing scenery with vivid colors splashed on some of the oldest natural rock formations known to mankind.

The first inhabitants of the Valley of Fire are thought to have migrated to the region about 300 B.C. Ancient Native American tribes survived on a vegetarian diet and ate all kinds of cactus and plants including yucca, mesquite tree, prickly pear and beaver tail. Eventually, other native tribes learned to plant corn and beans and hunt animals like rabbit, sheep and antelope.

Valley of Fire Climate

Winters are mild with temperatures ranging from freezing to 75 degrees F. Daily summer highs usually exceed 100 degrees, and may reach 115 degrees. Summer temperatures usually do not vary widely from day to night. Average annual rainfall is four inches, coming in the form of light winter showers and summer thunderstorms. Valley of Fire is a great destination year round.

Valley of Fire Wildlife

There are many animals that live in Valley of Fire, including; kangaroo rats, kit foxes, coyotes, bighorn sheep, and ground squirrels are just a few of the animals that inhabit the area.

Valley of Fire Today

Now the state park is primarily a tourist destination with 300,000 visitors per year. Movie stars have also been known to visit this popular park. Because of its stunning scenery, movies such as “Total Recall,” “Transformers,” “10,000 B.C.”, “Star Trek Generations,” “Domino,” and “Planet of the Apes” include scenes filmed at the Valley of Fire.

Las Vegas Weddings: Valley of Fire Weddings with Scenic Las Vegas Weddings!

  • By admin

Valley of Fire Prehistory

The Valley of Fire derives its name from red sandstone formations, formed from great shifting sand dunes during the age of dinosaurs, 150 million years ago. Complex uplifting and faulting of the region, followed by extensive erosion, have created the present landscape. Other important rock formations include limestone, shale, and conglomerates. Prehistoric users of the Valley of Fire included the Basket Maker people and later the Anasazi Pueblo farmers from the nearby fertile Moapa Valley. The span of approximate occupation has been dated from 300 B.C. to 1150 A.D. Their visits probably involved hunting, food gathering, and religious ceremonies, although scarcity of water would have limited the length of their stay. Fine examples of rock art left by these ancient peoples can be found at several sites within the park.

Valley of Fire Climate

Winters are mild with temperatures ranging from freezing to 75 degrees. Daily summer highs usually exceed 100 degrees, and may reach 120 degrees. Summer temperatures can vary widely from day to night. Average annual rainfall is four inches, coming in the form of light winter showers and summer thunderstorms. Spring and fall are the preferred seasons for visiting the Valley of Fire. Snow rarely falls at Valley of Fire as shown in this picture.

Valley of Fire Nature

The area plant community is dominated by widely spaced creosote bush, burro bush, and brittlebush. Several cactus species, including Beaver Tail and Cholla, are also common. The springtime bloom of such plants as the desert marigold, indigo bush, and desert mallow are often spectacular along park roads. Resident birds include the raven, house finch, sage sparrow, and roadrunner.

Many migrant birds also pass through the park. Most desert animals are nocturnal and not frequently seen by the passing motorist. Many species of lizards and snakes are common in the park, as well as the coyote, kit fox, spotted skunk, black tailed jackrabbit, and antelope ground squirrel. The desert tortoise is a rare species and is protected by state law. If you are lucky enough to come across one please leave this likable and harmless creature to live its life in peace in its own environment.

Las Vegas Weddings: Your Las Vegas Wedding Ceremony with Scenic Las Vegas Weddings!

  • By admin

Each of our Las Vegas Wedding Officiants comes prepared to perform either a Civil (non-religious) or religious ceremony for you on your special day. Your Las Vegas Wedding Officiant will ask you the following questions prior to your wedding ceremony:

  • Do you prefer a Civil or Religious Ceremony?
  • Do you have rings to exchange?
  • Do you have your own vows or any of your own words to say? (Most couples do not, so there is no pressure to do this).
  • Is the bride taking the groom’s last name (for pronouncement purposes only)?

You are more than welcome to bring your own vows and your Wedding Officiant can incorporate them into your wedding ceremony. Please keep in mind that it works out much better if you read your own vows to each other instead of the Wedding Officiant having you “repeat after me.”

You can also opt to add a unity candle ceremony ($50.00 additional charge) to your Scenic Las Vegas Gazebo, Studio, or Amphitheater wedding package.

Also, if you bring your whole ceremony and hand it to your Wedding Officiant, please keep in mind that the Wedding Officiant will have to read it (as opposed to speaking from memory) and it may sound very awkward. We suggest bringing your own vows or a few things to say to each other at most.

Your wedding ceremony will be approximately 5-8 minutes long, but may be shorter if you are getting married somewhere on the Las Vegas Strip. You should not worry about your guests standing if you have a wedding venue that does not offer chairs because they will only have to stand for a short period of time.

If you do not have wedding guests or have few guests, we suggest that the bride and groom start standing arm and arm. If you are having a bigger wedding, you are more than welcome to have a bridal party stand up with you.

You may also choose to “walk down the aisle” at the following locations: all Scenic Locations (except Grand Canyon) and our Scenic Gazebo/Studio/Amphitheater. The only place to “walk down the aisle” on the Las Vegas Strip would be your hotel room/suite. It does NOT work out to try to “walk down the aisle” or stay hidden from each other for a Las Vegas Strip Wedding. We know that it is your day, but we do as many as 1,000 weddings a year and we really do know what works and what does not.

Ceremony (processional) music is available upon request for many (but not all) of our locations. This must be pre-arranged with our Scenic Las Vegas Weddings office.

Again, this is your day, but take our advice when we tell you that aisle runners do not work well at our scenic locations! We have seen it done, but it does NOT look nice and people end up tripping if it is windy or if you try to place it over bumps or on the grass. Ladies, leave the runners at home!

Please note: All Scenic Las Vegas Weddings can be done as a vow renewal or commitment ceremony.

“Las Vegas Weddings: Getting Married in Las Vegas: Beyond the Cheap Las Vegas Strip Chapels in Today’s Tough Economy”

  • By admin

History of Las Vegas Weddings

Las Vegas hosts more than 1 in 20 marriages in the United States. Clark County (Las Vegas) issued 91,890 marriage licenses in 2010 alone. Las Vegas is also the entertainment capital of the world and with all the glitz and glamour that Las Vegas has to offer, it is a hotspot for weddings. It has gained the reputation as the “it” spot to “tie the knot!”

Even though Las Vegas is known for it’s last minute, cheesy chapel weddings and midnight drive thru weddings, this city is also home to destination weddings that require plenty of planning for in preparation of vows that last a lifetime. Las Vegas has couples from around the world planning their perfect Las Vegas destination wedding.

Since the 1930s, Nevada’s lure of fast, easy marriages has attracted countless couples looking to tie the knot. Although, the Las Vegas Chapel is still a popular option, Las Vegas now offers many more elegant, classy, and scenic option that more and more couples are choosing. Most of the Las Vegas Wedding Chapels have seen better days and are now many decades past their “heyday.”

Just like neighborhoods change over time, the “Las Vegas Chapel Row” on South Las Vegas Boulevard has dramatically changed as well. The area is now full of strip clubs, tattoo parlors, adult bookstores, pawn shops, and has a “ghetto-type” atmosphere. It is not a neighborhood that one should walk around in after dark. You may also come out of your chapel wedding to see prostitutes lingering in the area.

Modern Las Vegas Wedding Venues

Las Vegas may be best known for popularizing the wedding chapel ceremony. With opportunities for drive-through vows, Elvis impersonators to officiate, and intimate settings for elopement, Las Vegas wedding chapels provide some of the biggest business to Las Vegas’ wedding industry. But these chapels are far from the only place to be wed in this city.

The “mega” Las Vegas Strip Resorts also offer luxury Las Vegas weddings. Often organized by a hired wedding coordinator, these luxury weddings involve destination brides in intricate details and wedding day decisions. A Las Vegas luxury resort wedding offers all the commodities of a traditional wedding. This is a great option for couples where cost is not a consideration. Unfortunately, for most couples in today’s economy, cost is often the number one consideration.

The current US unemployment rate is 9.1% with an unemployment rate also topping 8% in the UK. While weddings still take place in a down economy, brides and grooms are scaling back and trimming the excess from their celebrations. The numbers show this dramatic shift: The average cost of a wedding dropped $10,000 a year after the recession began.

For destination brides or Las Vegas locals who prefer an elegant, affordable, and scenic wedding outside the Las Vegas Strip, Scenic Las Vegas Weddings is one local Las Vegas wedding company that offers many options. Scenic Las Vegas Weddings is family owned by a husband and wife team. The owners are both professional Las Vegas wedding photographers whose main goal is to provide spectacular photography, beautiful locations, and heartfelt ceremonies. Venues include: Scenic Gazebo, Valley of Fire, Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon, Grand Canyon, Lake Las Vegas, Mt. Charleston, Pahrump Valley Winery, Nelson Ghost Town, Death Valley, and The Las Vegas Strip. Scenic Las Vegas Weddings also offers photography only and Wedding Officiant only packages at your location or at one of theirs!
